Hello OHIF Community!

We have exciting news to share with you! Our first volume-viewport based workflow mode is now available for you to try out and explore. This is the first time we are utilizing the powerful visualization capabilities of Cornerstone3D to develop a workflow mode. We hope this is a great addition to the OHIF framework, and it can give you a better idea of how to build your next generation of imaging workflows with Cornerstone3D. Let's get started!

New Total Metabolic Tumor Volume (TMTV) Workflow

Total Metabolic Tumor Volume (TMTV) analysis for PT/CT studies is an increasingly common use case in nuclear medicine. This mode includes ten viewports of PT, CT, fusion (in axial, sagittal and coronal), and a 3D view of the full-body Maximum Intensity Projection (MIP) of the PT. Highlights of this mode include:

  • High-performance rendering of volumetric data in ten distinct viewports
  • Fusion of two series with adjustable colormaps and independent windowing controls
  • Synchronization of the viewports for both camera and VOI settings
  • Jump-to-click capability to synchronize navigation in all viewports
  • Ability to create threshold segmentations in 3D using new segmentation tools
  • Support for exporting  results as CSV and rectangle ROI annotations as DICOM Radiotherapy Structure Sets (RT-STRUCT)

We realize that this mode does not yet offer a perfect user experience for PET segmentation, but it’s a big first step in the right direction. If you are interested in funding further development of this workflow, please reach out!

Try it out!

OHIF Workflow Mode Gallery

We are excited to announce the release of the OHIF Workflow Mode Gallery. The gallery is a one-stop shop for users to find, install, and use OHIF modes and share functionality with the community. Each mode is available to be installed on your OHIF instance, and we are continuously reviewing modes submitted by the community to make them available in the Gallery.
